Occold Football Club was formed in 1981 and has participated in the Suffolk Sunday Football Scene ever since, currently playing in division two of the Bury and District Sunday League. Three years ago, Occold Football Club set up a Saturday team, who compete in the Ipswich and Suffolk league, and together we have over 40 players signed on for the club. In 2019, Occold Football Club was awarded The FA Chartered Standard.

Last year we started a youth team, and have 16 u12s representing the club each Saturday. We have applied to the Norfolk and Suffolk Veterans' Football League to run a veteran’s team (over 35s), for those of us of a certain vintage to play in, for the 2021/22 season! All teams support the local pub after each game, bringing opposition players to the village.

At present, while the youth team play their home games on the pitch at Occold Playing Field (Saturday mornings), the Senior team home matches are played at Hartismere High School, Eye, on Saturdays (2:30 pm KO) and Sundays (10:30 am KO), as Occold Playing Field is not big enough to accommodate a full-size pitch. Our dream is to, one day, bring the whole club back to the village.

Visit Bury & District Sunday Football League (thefa.com) to see results, fixtures etc.
